Mes accessoires / My accesory

At the beginning I had nothing, then 2 pseudo Kimono (Somme obvious swindle for tourists who love bathrobe) getas, a polyester obi, after that came a juban, yes the pink one, and finally a true kimono, my lovely kuro tomesode, I will talk about it one day. (I swear!)

It was the real starting point, so I began to search information about how to wear it properly, how to not destined it to not take the dust on a plastic hanger.
And there, big drama, I discovered that a Juban and some piece of string are not enough  to wear Kimono.
So I ask santa claus to help me and here is what I found an my shoes. (After I recover from an horrible flue.)

A orange fukuro obi, my favorite color !
It made a lovely drum knot ( taiko musubi )

One korin belt and 3 koshihimo (not enough !! )
An obi makura, (The obi age came after! )
A kind of mae ita which can be attach in the back. Really convenient.

And an eri shin, 2 in fact, I don't know what the second is for...

Et voila, No obi age, no obi jime, pas even data jime. I was really happy of my christmass gift but It was not enought for kitsuke. Impossible to correctly wear my Kimono. I order so an obi age and obi jime in the same color and also 2 cheater's date jime, magic belt. It's super convenient, you wrap it, scratch it and it's done. Magic ! ;p

The magics belt, date jime for lazy.

My obi jime. It don't even manage to tie it nicely  >_<

And here is the result from front, whit this horrible bathrobe I infortunatly bought in one of this gift for tourist not really aware. I'm impatient to wear true kimono.

  1. For a bathrobe it looks really nice, like a Komon Kimono =]

I remember this Fukuro Obi from Ebay *laughs* I love the peony design, my fav flowers ~

You tied the Obijime very well, but maybe you should check how to wear an Obiage correctly again. You can find a tutorial on my blog ~

The o-taiko musubi is great but the tesaki has to be between the two layers and not behind it.
However, you did a great job! ♥
